  1. Hi Ed,
My kids and I were reading The Raggedy Man comic book by David Morris and GM Jordan and we think you would make a fantastic Raggedy Man if they made it into a show. You have musical skills and you look the part.

    Keep rocking.

    - Dav

  6. Thanks for the music! Whether it's "Swords of 1000 Men" or just "One for the Master" I am loving the songs. Keep 'em coming! Hopefully it's not 25+ years until the next release. (hint hint) You have a perfect blend of energy, musicianship, and fun-loving lunacy to make each album a delight! Here's to you!

  9. Many years ago, I recorded Horse Opera from a friend's television. It was a blast. Your performance as the false Preacher "...just a self-made guy who's read a lot of Nietsche" was so sinister and yet funny, especially the dancing.

Then, stupid me, I actually posted this priceless tape (oldstyle VHS) to a penfriend. No copy, of course - I was so trusting. Needless to say, despite numerous pleas for its return, I never saw it again. Just as well that it is engraved on my retinas. Unforgettable

    Thank you.

  12. All right - flash back to 1974 where there was a very cool performance group called SALAKTA BALLOOON BAND with clown gear on doing a gig against Covent garden.

There was this young guy who had worked with us as a kind of intern through the summer and this was the last gig with Salakta Balloon Band till the new winter season, and he was locked up - get it - in this straitjacket in a bag and so during the show managed to follow I suppose whatever we were doing by ear, then at the end of the show the audience erupted as this geyser gets out and there was Ed Tudor Pole an imnmediate enigma in laternative theatre.

I wonder if he remembers that day....? Anyway the guy who was the chief that day has kept an eye on the Pole carreer over the years - now in the age of actual contact it is finallly possible to greet him and thank him for that immortal day of escapology.

So anyway now I have browsed and laid the see of possible reconnection....Have a great tour and see you around amigo.
    Johnny

  14. Ed,

My fiancee and I are brand new fans. We were stoked that Swords of a thousand men is our new Buffalo Sabes hockey goal song! We scored 8 goals tonight so the sold out arena of 19k fans were rockin to the tune all night! It inspired us to check out the rest of your you tube library and we love it all. Great stuff man and we're spreading the word as we speak. Now we just need to lure you over to Buffalo to play live during a Sabres playoff game!! Take care and keep rockin Rebel!!

  21. Hello mate... I guess my memories of you are old and cherished.. like your mum taking me in and pointing me in a wonderful new direction.. and the time we sat up late in the basement flat at 27, albany st..and you working on the sync up for the who killed bambi song.. and your letters of encouragement that I have to this day.. I owe all my fortunes to you and your mum.. thanks mate..

  22. Hello Ted,

I have only very recently seen a clip of you singing and this triggered ancient memories and galvanised me into looking you up.

And there you are! Everything I like and seek in music.!

I am writing this in a small village just outside Prague (Czech Republic) where I have lived for eight years after 38 years in Southampton, a friendly place with its fair share of live music-Do you know The Brook? Very much your sort of venue, but what do I know?

There are plenty of clubs and music venues here but audiences are relatively small as the population is only ten million and sport is the pastime of greatest interest.

But- Czechs do like their rock'n'roll and If you would like to come here-its different-drop me a line and I'll approach a few of my haunts. You'd better let me know if money is the determining factor as there isn't much of it here.

I am going to get you album and give it to my son for Christmas-he'll be thrilled an old fart like me could find such sounds!

All the very best on your Tour-Maurice Jensen. Biker and old rocking bloke.

  24. Great to see ya at the Thunderbolt, Bristol. Brings back memories of Hope & Anchor, Nashville in the old days. Following some chance banter, I have left idea for lyrics in the shape of "Hood Killed Bambi" or guess who won the archery gold? In the CONTACT section.
